2012 Wooden Boat Festival poster artist Megan Quist was born in Kenner and raised on the shores of the Tchefuncte River in Covington, Louisiana. The reflections and movements of Louisiana’s solemn waters have greatly influenced her artistic style. She majored in Visual Arts at Southeastern Louisiana University, and hopes to soon join the lively art scene of St. Tammany Parish. Currently she teaches visual arts to children at Lake Castle Private School in Madisonville, LA.
