Lighthouse Archaeology

During the sweltering weeks of August 2009 Andrea White, Regional Archaeologist with the Louisiana Division of Archaeology, led a project team composed of faculty and students from Southeastern Louisiana University, students from the University of New Orleans, Maritime Museum volunteers, and members of the West St. Tammany Chamber Young Professionals Group in test excavations at the Tchefuncte River Light Station.  Laboratory analysis is ongoing.
